Essay:
Susan has supported the PTA program at UMPI since its start 4 years ago. She has provided a clinical experience to at least one student every year and also donates her time to help teach in the PTA program during the pediatric section by bringing in current clients so the students can get a "hands on" experience with children with disabilities. Students report she is passionate in her teaching and uses down time to work with students practicing skills. They also report what a positive learning environment she provides.
