Essay:
Jessica started as a clinical instructor by sharing PTA students with one of the staff PT's. She has developed into an exemplary primary clinical instructor. Over the past few years, she has provided foundational and entry level experiences for our students, meeting each student where they are and then challenging them. Students have reported that one of the benefits of working with Jessica is the increase in confidence they developed with a variety of medical and cognitive patient populations in the skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting. That she challenged them enough outside of their comfort zone and that they always felt supported. In addition to student presentations, Jessica develops activities/projects for students to expand knowledge in evidence-based practice.
