Essay:
Whitney is an amazing PTA and CI. She would challenge me often to think for myself, and gave me excellent feedback daily, on the weekly reports and on the online evaluation tool.. She gave me just enough guidance balanced with independence during treatments. I am so impressed at how versatile she was. She was able to juggle several different areas of rehab including pediatrics, schools, acute care, acute rehab, and a skilled nursing facility. She is very personable and able to acclimate wonderfully between her ever changing patient load. She is an excellent therapist and I learned so much from her.

Whitney handled my time at this clinical experience with such grace, patience and understanding. I will forever be grateful to her. She deserves this award because she handles everything she does with exceptional professionalism, and was willing to help me grow as a student in so many ways. She has an incredible ability to read people and ask questions to better assess where they are as students. She was able to teach me based on what I individually needed. Whitney is an excellent role model for the perfect PTA and I hope one day I can be just like her.

Holly is currently a practicing PT at Rumford Hospital in Rumford, Maine who has over two decades of clinical experience. She has been a CI for many years and she positively promotes the physical therapy field. Holly strives to provide excellent patient care. Holly provides an environment that is conducive to student learning and has many experiences to share with students. She is a team player and is a great role model in leadership duties in the physical therapy field, as she works well with others. Holly's positive attitude towards patient care reminded me why physical therapy is a wonderful career, that is so rewarding. Holly is an excellent candidate for the clinical faculty award.
