Essay:
Dana is an excellent clinical instructor. He has exceptional professional PTA skills. I learned so much from him during my seven week clinical at TAMC. He furthered my knowledge in essential PTA skills, especially in manual therapy and IASTM. He taught me how to effectively communicate with staff, patients and their families. He went above and beyond to make sure I had a beneficial learning experience. He contacted several employees at TAMC, so I could observe surgeries, many specialty areas, other health care practitioners, clinics and more! We attended several other student and staff inservices and I observed him promoting the physical therapy profession by doing an interview with the local TV station. I also witnesses him letting other future PTA student job shadow him, so they could further advance their knowledge of the field as well. While I was there, he went to a continuing education course on the shoulder and shared some great information with me and the staff. He is always continuing his education and promoting the education of others. I was very lucky to have worked and learned from him. He is a great PTA and wonderful clinical instructor who I would recommend to other students.

Essay:
Amanda was one of my CIs. From the first day I walked into the hospital she was extremely welcoming. I felt comfortable with her right away. Amanda was very supportive throughout the entire clinical which made my experience very well rounded and informative.
The knowledge I gained from not only her but the entire crew at WCGH was more than I could have ever imagined. Being at this facility really solidified my choice to become a PTA.
From the very start Amanda had me involved in all aspects of the hospital. I was in observing surgeries and pediatrics. My favorite thing I got to do with Amanda was LSVT BIG. Amanda is certified and see many patients wit Parkinsons disease. her huge heart and comforting personality makes her a wonderful LSVT BIG instructor. she goes above and beyond and runs a monthly wellness program for previous BIG graduates from WCGH. You can tell by watching the BIG graduates faces that they really admire Amanda for what she does for them.
Watching Amanda run the Swing bed rehab department helped me to see the importance of organization and how its essential to make the program run smooth. She was always on top of things and worked very hard to make sure everyone was happy, staff and patients.
Amanda attended a recent Clinical Instructor course to make herself a better CI. Continuing education to be better for future students is an admirable thing. Her passion for what she does is so evident in everything she does.
I will always remember my clinical experience at WCGH because of Amanda and all of the other wonderful staff there.
